<< ....here is a Paramount serial # E17 on ebay now. Item number: 110015522827 According to the Waterford site it would be from the end of 1960. The seller claims it has all original equipment including "Alero gold forged crank and Suntour gear levers." I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the stem shifters aren't original. Would it have had dt shifters or barends? Also are the rd & fd Record of that era? ....... Len Diamond Ridgewood,NJ >>

Seat, shifters & cranks are replacements to be sure.. But what I want to know is where is the kickstand? (Obviously one lived there for a while!) Either DT or barcons were available .... Derailleurs are correct.

So what's wrong with eBay "outings"? Just put "eBay outing" in the subject line so folks can delete it before reading and then let those complainers butt out!!!

In a tangentially yet still slightly related vein there is a Paramount serial # E17 on ebay now. Item number: 110015522827 According to the Waterford site it would be from the end of 1960. The seller claims it has all original equipment including "Alero gold forged crank and Suntour gear levers." I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the stemshifters aren't original. Would it have had dt shifters or barends? Also are the rd & fd Record of that era? I know this is probably basic stuff but I'm just learning about the stuff from when I was 2 years old. Love the color/chromed Nervex lugs and the decal style.

My apologies to those who requested less ebay "outings" today. I understand how you feel but my curiosity won out on this one.
