New catalogues have been posted to the GitaneUSA.com website! I have been given catalogues for the year 1960 and 1968. The 1960 has a duplicate page (my apologies), which will be remedied soon...but the first three pages contain good stuff...
Eric from Wisconsin just sent me the scans of a 1968 Gitane catalogue.
Of interest therein: 1) Great track bike stem...the fully adjustable variety. 2) Take a look at the worst idea of all time: The kids tandem! 3) Gitane apparently made scooters. Anyone who comes up with one of these gets a special prize.
It should be up soon. We are still looking for catalogues, so if you come across one, let me know, and we will add the scans to the site.
I have one more, which is a mid-1970's, but I haven't scanned it yet...it is a "poster" catalogue, which makes it more difficult to format for the website. It will also be scanned and posted soon.
