Columbus MAX tubing, first from the 1980s. I'm having difficulty nailing down a specific introduction date. Does anyone have or have access to a Columbus timeline? I've looked through our Bikelist archives over and again, and cannot find the answer. I did see that there were MAX lug sets available. Also, I found an old post (to another list) from one of our esteemed list members from OZ, Ben K., who mentions a 1988 DeRosa catalog featuring an off topic bike built with MAX. Does anyone know if this tubing was around earlier than that, and how much earlier? Got a REAL cool bike hanging out here, that I'm trying to date.
