Mark Agree has kindly pointed out that my use of the term "earlier" was a tad imprecise since there were two versions of the levers with vertical block-lettered logo. I need the later of the "earlier" versions ( ;-) ) as Mark has described below. / "Also, when you say "the earlier version" of SR brake lever, do you mean the earliest curved "pointy" tip, made before about 1977, or a* more appropriate fatter tipped "short reach" brake lever that would more likely have been used in 1979?* " / Sorry for any confusion.
