[CR] Seeking help- dating an old Raleigh "Sports" model lightweight 10-speed

Hello all, This is my first submission here. I recently acquired an old Raleigh Sports lightweight 10-speed at a garage sale. After researching the history of Raleigh bikes online (thanks Sheldon Brown!) I am still unable to date this bike. I posted a great deal of information about the bike and a few detailed pictures at roadbikereview.com (here is the direct link to my post: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=70088). I would appreciate any all all help regarding dating or possible value of this bike. I don't plan on selling the bike (already received an offer from a friend) but value would help as if it was valuable I would try to restore it to original (missing the front light, etc.).
