I just received a bike that I purchased many months ago in Italy. I take that it is a 1976-77 model Bianchi. I would like to identify which model it is, as my own Bianchi model knowledge ends in the 50's. This bike is quite interesting as it has many rather novel items:
Both brakes have brazed-on center bolts, i.e. the brakes are directly fitted to the frame. The bike has Super record BB, pedals, seatpost (the 2-bolt super record one, not the one-bolt nuovo super record one), 1976 date-coded Bianchi-pantographed super record chainset, 1976 super record rear derailleur, super record brakes, super record headset, Cinelli 1R stem (with old Cinelli logo) and celeste Almarc leather covering on Cinelli bars. The rear dropout has the two holes for a portacatena. There is a braze.on front derailleur mount, however with derailleur with no cut-outs in the cage. On the chainstay there is a large decal stating that the bike is a product of the reparto corse.
The rims have been switched out with clinchers, the saddle with a newer celeste one. Can antbody tell me what would have come originally on this bike.
