Steve,
If these are bare rims, take a string or stiff wire and
measure the diameter of the bead seat. These rims have an even
number of spoke holes so you can pass your string/dowel/wire
through opposite holes and get an accurate measurement.
If the rims are already built up, use a piece of string to
measure the diameter. Tape it down somewhere on the rim, and
lay the string on top of the bead seat. Now measure the string
and go to Sheldon's chart. Or divide by 3.14159, which Iassume
is how Sheldon obtained the values for his chart.
