This scam is a trap set to catch someone who is not paying attention to the hobby, ebay and this forum. If someone just read about a Confente bike but has not followed the news from the past they might think they got the jump on the rest of us and bite on the BIN price. The seller hopes to acquire the cash before the buyer catches on. It is one of those (worth a shot) crimes that the wild and wooly web still has not been able to deter. It is a toss up between your ability to identify these scams quick enough to determine if you should snap it up before some one else does. You can always set up a dummy account to buy with just like this person did to sell. This way it levels the playing field a bit.
