My real fear is that the "Hypergloid" setup - which actually causes 2 sprockets to be engaged simultaneously - would produce too much strain for the rivets of the old style chains.
Is that why you suggest avoiding shifting under full load when using these freewheels with an older style chain?
The reason I'm trying to get this sorted out in advance, is
that - beyond the NR setup - I'm considering the use one of
these pieces with a Huret DuoPar; In my experience, those
_really_ prefer stiff chains for best operation - even moreso
than the Campagnolo NR.
