Norris, Years ago, while doing some aircraft and race car welding, I performed a bit of work on straight gauge chrome-moly tubing. Occasionally, we would use tubing with wall thickness of about 1mm. You must use a _really_ small tip on the torch and be very careful about heat buildup.

So it appears that Reiss fusion -welded not bronze-welded hisframes. Some real craftsmanship here!!
In my (welding) world, fusion welding is melting metal together with NO ADDED FILLER. Is this your definition Norris? I would never put a bicycle on the road and trust it would stay together using fusion welding. Any chance you could supply photos of the areas you mention? I would like to see this.
