Depending on what you need, toner transfer may be an answer for you.

This uses laser printer toner as an adhesive or etch resist.

I use it to make circuit boards, but you can also use the laser printer toner to stick to metallic or white foils for use as decals.

I use a cheap Lexmark E210 printer, and supplies from Dyna Art:
