David, The frame is from 1969. Do you have the parts that originally came on the bike? That will help you determine the model. It sounds as though it's either a Gran Prix or a Competizione. 1969 or '70 was the last year of "nicer" version of the Gran Prix, when it was made from Columbus tubing and came with Nuovo Record derailleurs amd hubs. The original parts for a 1969 Gran Prix would have been as follows: derailleurs - as mentioned, Campagnolo NR hubs - Campagnolo Record brakes - Weinmann center pull (with Universal levers) headset - Magistroini, but marked as Atala crank - Magistroni cottered swith Stronglight aluminum chainrings stem - the very distinctive TTT Gran Prix handlebars - TTT with very plain Gran Prix markings rims - 27" clinchers, could be either Rigida or Fiamme

For the Competizione of that era, the equipment would be similar except that the brakes would be Universal side pull models, and the rims would be for tubulars. (The crank might also have been cotterless - but don't remember precisely.)

If you only have a bare frame, the brake reach should allow you to distinguish between the two models.
