I have recently posted the following set of Legnano fenders on ebay (This is not an ad for my own auction but a genuine question):
Ebay and CR list member Ken Denny pointed out that this set looks incomplete. The front looks short, although it shows no signs of having been cut down. Was there originally a smaller third section that perhaps attached to the front of the front fork (at the brake mount) that extended the fender forward past the headtube? Am I missing a piece here, or does this set just have an odd mount? I pulled a few sets out of a box in the basement of an old bike shop and saw no such shorter section, so I assumed that I was grabbing complete sets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, gang.
