Why doesn¹t this happen in the bicycle industry? People will spend a half million or more on a car, why not $10,000 on a bicycle frame? Am I the only one that ponders this?
Doug,
Some off topic non ferrous frames are approaching 10k. It's amazing to me people will pay up that much for something I think to not be very special. I
think with events like the NAHMBS some of "you" guys in time will get that kind of money for your product. The target market for a manufacturer who need to
sell 10-50 units of product is a lot different that one that needs to sell 10,000 units or 100,00 units. I think it will be done.
I'm gonna steal from the archives here....but are most current framebuilder s of the cloth that business plans and smart marketing make up any more than a very small part of their time? That's the first step in my opinion.
