Hi Chuck,

I agree that my frame looks much like the ones in the 1986 catalog, and much like Ray Dobbin's 1986 here <http://www.raydobbins.com/derosa/>. But I've also seen Bilenkey's 1982 De Rosa aero bike, on Wool Jersey <http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Bilenkeys-Bikestash/1982DeRosaAero/>.

It's obviously a completely different frame design, yet has the top tube guides, the braze on front derailleur and the derailleur cables beneath the BB. So clearly these were features De Rosa was using by 1982.

I'll look at whether there is an SLX decal when it arrives.
