Hello, Tam!
Did you learn that Merckx rode Colnago and De Rosa from the very early time he tuned pro? Correct me if I might be wrong. However, I have heard from former Japanese Olympic official in Tokyo who watched Merkx's bike that it was Peugeot when he came to Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964 and I have learned that he soon after the big event he became a pro androde an Italian frame named Poriagi (spell??) and Masi briefly before he chose Colnago and later De Rosa .
