It is important to note that even tho serials may have been coordinated out of San Marcos, the stamps themselves were done at their respective locations and were not free of error. Rob's list contains three distinct batches of frames numbered A8001-A8010 and two batches of A8011-A8020. This isn't a misprint, as I have photos of two bikes with duplicate serial numbers and frame sizes that match what's on Rob's list.
It's also pretty easy to tell that San Marcos and the Ranch were stamping their own frames... most San Marcos frames have an "SMC" stamp while Rob's Ranch frames have an "MC" prefix. Also, the stamps are oriented differently... with few exceptions, the Ranch frames had the serial number on the drive side with the tops of the stamps facing outward, white the San Marcos bikes had the frame size on the drive side with the tops of the stamps facing the centerline.
