You are right, the 151 bcd it is very rare and indeed you are correct that it is 1st generation. This crankset was on my 1958 Bauer (Germany) cyclocross frameset. Which confirms your "carbon" dating of 1958. I wish I had the left side too.

I still have the Bauer, but sadly it is hanging in the garage with a broken top and down tube.

The 151 crank is much more than rare! IMHO

Item number: 330080116212

I think it is first generation, dating from 1958-1959

Note the raised pedal lip. (which is on 1st and 2nd generation (1958-59 and 1960-61)

Also note the arm attaches to the spider. It appears different from the later way and would make it 1st generation!

Damn shame you don't seem to have the left arm!!!!
