I don't know if it is relavant to this discussion or not... In about '75 - '76 I remember a gentleman loosely connected with Stoke's Spokes bike shop in Huntington Beach, CA that was selling aftermarket leather covers for these saddles. He may also have had foam padding available as an add-on but my memory is spotty on that.
