Any metal polish like Simichrome can bring on a seasonal shine, but zinc-plated spokes aren't likely to stay shiny for long. The same electrical properties that make zinc such a powerful rust preventive to any adjacent exposed steel also causes a zinc surface to dull readily. Zinc is a "sacrificial anode". In the name of authenticity, zinc spokes shouldn't be shiny! Shine the hubs and rims if you like. Think of the hours we'll save if we can all agree to this!
