>These are GB "Maitland Road" 'bars< For sure named after Bob Maitland a road racer from the Concorde CC in the Midlands who raced for about forty years from the 1940's. He rode the 1953 Grand Prix de Nations and was beaten for about twenty minutes by 19 year old Anquetil. Bob also rode with the Hercules team in the 55 Tour retiring on the ninth stage. He will still riding top races in the sixties and I believe he won a World Vets title at St Johann. I was told that he sold the trophy back to the organiser!! On his 80th birthday in 2004 he rode eighty miles. Ray Green, Harrow, Middlesex
