Tom - I think these were made rather late in the production run. The hex on the shaft looks forged, not machined, and there is also an allen key fitting on my set. That alone suggests maybe late 1970s (?) at earliest? Haven't used mine, wonder if they were better made than the earlier ones with a pair of flats and no allen fitting.

I have a pair of Lyotard Berthet pedals for sale that are in very good condition . I actually think the pedal cage is NOS, though I cannot remember for sure. They have very slight spotting of rust on them, but no pitting. The spindles were replaced with other Lyotard spindles. The pedals turn smoothly and evenly. They require a 17 mm wrench for putitng on a crank or one could use a hex wrench. They are English threaded.
