Well, Scott Goldsmith and I made it to the Indy swap. Cold day, 16F on the way over and 21F on the way home, but wonderfully sunny both ways. Plenty of snow on the side streets, but the drive over was on clear highways. All the usual suspects were there - Scott (Cinci), Mike Self (Cinci), my fellow Middletownian Ed Estoia, Ron Gurth (Indy), Dayton-area Paramount collector John Goode, and Dayton/L.A. enthusiast F.M. Achor.

I think everyone found at least something to bring home. Mike bought a bike, Scott found a front derailleur, Ed had a box full of MAFAC and other parts, and I came home with my first pair of Campagnolo "con dente" pedals.

On the way home, Scott and I were discussing making a trip back to Indy this spring, when the track is open, for a little playtime on the banking, and it occurred to us that maybe this would be something that would interest other CR members. Good enough excuse to have a regional get-together? We could have an informal swap meet, try each-other's bikes on the banking, have a bike display for all interested parties, and a picnic lunch on the infield or the park across the road.

If we scheduled it for the right day, we could stay to watch the racing session in the evening.

So... who's within reasonable driving range of Indy, and who might be interested in meeting for such a gathering?
