We take you back to about 1970. Starving grad students. Providence, RI. I've done the first thing right: My bride has a better bike (full Columbus DB Atala) than I do (Sears Ted Williams), and it's time to upgrade my situation. Set an upper limit of the price of a PX-10, which I thought outrageously expensive at $170 with NO Campy pieces. From a local ad, found a guy selling a one year old but virtually unridden Raleigh International. Seemed he changed hobbies annually, and had moved on to fine cameras. $140 seemed fair under the conditions, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bike for several years. And, I got my full line of Campy parts (except brakes), which worked almost as well as the Simplex and Stronglight on the PX-10... Live and learn.
