Hello Mike,

My 1951 Cinelli Mod B has internal brake routing and I might add in a somewhat more elegant approach than the 50s Galmozzi being discussed. When I received the frame, both the top and down tubes were damaged and they were replaced, keeping the original integrity of the top tube braze-ons. The Cinelli also had pips for a down tube pump which where omitted for this restoration. The frame can be seen in its test ride state before being sent to Brian for paint, chrome and decals. Go to the wool jersey site and look for Martinez bikes, page 3, I think.

Regards, Dave Martinez Fremont Ca US of A remembering that galmozzi frame that sat in wheelsmith for years. then one day it was gone.....

Is there certainty that the cable routing and bottle braze-ons are not original? Such features were certainly common, although not in Italy, at the time. And the internal cable routing does not look like something a contemporary builder would add.

My only curiosity was the crown, as I'm not familiar with early semi-slopping crowns, but my sense was it is correct, and I did see a similar (if not the same) crown this past week and my understanding was that it was indeed an old example.

Galmozzi frames seem to be quite gorgeous - and after missing out on one at the Cirque and looking at it, there is no mystery as to why they should be valuable.
