Subject: [CR]Battaglin Pronunciation

I hesitated to jump into this because I know full well that a couple of the folks offering advice on the pronunciation actually speak Italian and I make no claim to. However, I did own a very nice Battaglin for a few years...there seem to be two kinds of them...so-so bikes and very nice ones with all kinds of allusions to championships won on them...my bike was of the latter variety. When I purchased it as the second owner I asked the college kid I bought it from how to pronounce it and he said that he had asked the distributor and it was pronounced Bat-a (short A here)-gleen...slight emphasis on the first syllable. I, and everyone else I knew in admittedly backwards Michigan always pronounced it that way without anyone ever correcting us. Perhaps we had an Americanism type pronunciation going there, but that's my experience with it.
