Hello fellow Canucks,
Sooner or later it has to happen! Now that I have permanently moved to Vancouver, B.C. I feel the need to get together with the vintage bike geeks in the great white north. The weather is still too unpredictable to plan a ride but not too early to organize a get-together to meet some of you and maybe plan some future events. So, I would like to propose a get together this Saturday at Dream Cycle on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. It will be a very casual event, Fritz Duernberger and I will each have a handful of bikes on display and you are welcome to bring yours. We will be there from 10am or so on till 3 or 4 pm. There may be some Italian food and wine involved around lunch time (it is Commercial Drive after all) and hopefully lots of old bike talk and putting some faces to names, etc. It would be nice if we have enough people to form an informal group for future rides, bike talk and of course, food. Sort of like the BVVW or the group I used to hang out with in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hey, Johnny P. maybe you can license the BVVW idea. Now that it is on both coasts, how about one up in Canada, eh!?
