Hey, in response to the request about social aspects of the convention, all I've got to say is that Jan Johnson's CR dinner on Saturday night was ... there is no word. We ate at a downtown restaurant called The Loft. If I'm recalling correctly, 27 or 28 bike geeks in the house. That included more Keepers Of the Flame than you could shake a framepump at (within arms reach of my seat: Bruce Gordon, Brian Baylis, Doug Fattic, Mark Nobilette, Roland Della Santa -- and no, I didn't plan it that way), painters/restorers (Joe Bell, the Cunninghams), and lots of the usual CR -issimos who can chime in as they will.

Standing out in my mind from the conversation, for purely selfish reasons, was the sense of the group that a family-tree/history of California framebuilding (both on-topic and not) is overdue.

Pictures? But of course! Only you'll have to wait until I can post them tonight. I'm also going to post a reminder, and more info on, the ST. PATRICK'S DAY RIDE and LUNCH and ANTIQUE BIKE OGLING in Davis, CA. Ya'all best come!
