Here is some "insider" Cirque scoop:

- The airport code is "GSO". FWIW, Charlotte is an hour & a half to the south, Raleigh Durham is an hour to the east.

- We can arrange to pick attendees up at the Greensboro airport. Just let us know in advance and call the shop when you disembark (336-274-5959)

- Attendees can ship their bikes to the shop in advance (I recommend FedEx Ground but pick your poison) and the staff there will store your parcels until you arrive.

- While the activities are in a few different places, folks' crossroads often are at cycles de ORO bike shop.

- You can assemble the bikes & make adjustments in a space in or beside the store reserved for that purpose (we used to all cram in upstairs but things are much better nowadays!)

- Basic bike tools are available for free and the staff can bail you out if you need expert help. Attendees are just reminded that the shop is trying to operate as a business (!) so keep clear of the "money making" areas as much as possible.

- Parts and accessories are available from CDO at a discounted rate to attendees (remind the staff member ringing you up BEFORE he/she enters the transaction in the register please.)

- The Battleground Inn (sold out) and the O'Henry Hotel are 2 blocks and 4 blocks respectively walking distance from cycles de ORO (most of Fri & Saturdays events).

- The other hotels/ motels on the web site list are about 4-5 miles out an expressway. Unfortunately, cycling to and from those spots is for the hard core city rider only.

- You MIGHT want to check with me before you book a room in a place not listed. There are other nice places, but there are also some rough spots that you would not want to be staying in...

- It is about 2 miles, ez biking distance, frojm cycles de ORO to the Lewis Recreation Center (Sundays events).

- The Banquet is in a catering hall, about 2 1/2 miles from CDO.

- I can arrange a limited number of loaner bikes just let me know you wants and size preferences...

- Please do not call or write to me asking to "hold a spot" Unfortunately we must pay food suppliers for each seat for the auction, the seminars and the banquet. So if you want to be part of it, send your form and a payment to be included. Sorry, no refunds after May 15.
