" Hey, I've got a bunch of suntour (new winner) cogs and 4 bodies to sell, I'm thinking of e-bay with a note here to tell people.

The question... do you think I'll do better to sell full freewheels with cogs, or sell them all separately?"

hi Tom,

I haven't checked ebay lately, but it may depend on exactly what cogs you have, and what size freewheels you could build.

If my collection of cogs is any guide, the cogs ranging from 16 to 20 teeth seem to be the ones to get replaced most often, and therefore the most valuable. As a rough estimate, a reasonable price might be $10.

The value of freewheels varies with the size too. Not as much demand for the 13-18 corncobs as the more practical 13-24. As always, ebay is a good measure of the value of this sort of item. I'd expect that the value has dropped a bit since IRD has introduced their new freewheels. Since the SunTour freewheels don't seem to have the historical significance of some Regina or Campy freewheels, I wouldn't expect them to demand much of a price premium over the new IRD's.
