Subject: [CR]Milano and Roma

Greetings list, Next month, I will be traveling to Milan on business. (I work as a studio assistant to a sculptor who will be having an exhibition in a gallery there.) While I will likely be busy with installation duties, I plan to sneak away for a day or so to absorb as much as I can of the local cycling culture. I will not have a bike with me, but would love to visit the Masi shop at the Vigorelli. Can any of you recommend any shops that I should try to visit while I am there? Does Cinelli have factory tours or anything of the sort? Any other manufacturers that might allow a visitor? Any local museums? It's my understanding that there is very little in the way of bicycle nostalgia, so I am not expecting to come across any secret stashes of on-topic Campagnolo bits or NOS framesets...but if there are CR-friendly "must visit" places, any info will be appreciated. I will also have 3 days in Rome, so any similar recommendations would be great. Also, any local contacts that might be able to point me in the right direction would be great. The Giro will be underway on my last couple of days there, but I don't think there is any chance that I will cross paths with any of the stages, unfortunately. Maybe next time. Hopefully, I will have some good tales to share with the list upon my return. Matthew Bowne Brooklyn, New York
