I guess you can say they made the seller an offer he could not refuse.
Actually, it was clearly a scam and several of the bids on ebay belonged to
Alex March. The hubs were from Alex's legitimate auction and Alex knocked
the price up to prevent any sane person from bidding on them.
I offered Alex $26K if he won them and wanted to flip the deal.
