Hi thanks, to all on list who responded to my question, keeping the enamel isn't too important as I can respray it myself,too many little bits lifting to use decals really, I will try Derby platers as they are pretty close, what is it /was it with Italian and French chrome for that matter, it just doesn't last...I have a Carlton Constellation from the 50's all chrome frameset that all though a little pitted here and there is still very sound with no peeling!
