Actually, if the frame and fork itself is in very pleasant condition cosmetically and there are no structural issues, than $500 these days would be fair for the frame and fork alone. An old International frame rides better in my opinion than many new frames costing 1K - and even better than some costing in the 3K range. Construction quality was fair, but some folks perfer these old Internationals to many of their much more "collectable" machines. It is all subjective of course.
