Charles; Sounds similar to the one I recieved via email from someone at Paypal days back, and that I posted to the list. I think most of us who have been list members for a bit are wise to these scammers, but a gentle reminder to be careful is a good thing. Also, there are always new members signing on to the list, and some may fall prey to these scams since they may be new to Ebay, and Paypal. Thanks for the post.

You get an ebay post from what looks like a legitimate ebay member, accusing you of running a fraudulent auction. When you go to the forum address where this "fraud" is supposedly revealed, you get a sign-in screen.

Once I realized what was going on, it seemed pretty primitive, but the initial post is very clever, since it's quite insulting and in the heat of annoyance a person might sign-in on the fraudulent screen...and viola! the deed is done.

Word to the wise.
