Today i happened to see a Benotto with a very special kind of tubing. I think it was just Columbus SP (it was a 60 cm frame) but every tube was squashed to an oval shape, or even a diamond shape in the case of the chainstays. Lugs were just round though. Gearlevers were mounted on top of the downtube, gearcables were internally routed. Seattube was dented at the back, rear dropouts vertical to allow wheel removal for the very short chainstays.
Although I'm normally not interested in Benotto at all, this one was very attractive and intriguing. I think it's from about 1985, it had Victory components. Does anyone know more about this aero/TT kind of Benotto?
