Subject: [CR]Trexlertown Swap Meet Report

Yesterday, a very strange event occurred. The Spring swap happened and it DID NOT RAIN. Tom "Raincloud" Adams stayed away to ride a metric century with his charming wife Christine and that has to be the reason. (snicker).

The usual suspects attended on "Cinco de Mayo" which margheritas and tacos, may be the reason that the vendor count and crowd was a bit lighter than usual. I arrived at 0630 hours to a near empty parking lot. Eddie Albert, Joel Flood, Curtis and Sam Fitzsimmons were hanging around wondering what was going on. My booth partner, Ray Homiski came a few minutes later. A year ago, we were sitting in our cars watching this deluge of a rainstorm. This year, the weather was crystal clear.

Did not acquire much this year; the usual tubes, bar tape, TA Cyclotourist Crank and rings. Peter Schwar had a nice selction of Velox bar plugs in a variety of colours, so I scooped up a few of those.

We had our traditional post swap ride (mapped out by Dave Neuhaus) where we clicked off 25 miles over fix gear friendly terrain. Homiski has a photo of this crew on his camera which I am sure he'll post later.
