My recollection was that at least some World Voyageurs came with Dura-Ace centerpulls, which predated the "original" DA sidepulls and which were I think the first part called Dura-Ace. The World Voyageur was a wonderful bargain at the time. As I've told the story before, Arnie Nashbar, then still selling out of his garage, obtained several World Voyageurs for members of the Outspokin Wheelmen of Youngstown, OH, which he cofounded.

This bike came with DC center pull brakes, first gen Dura Ace cranks & derailleurs, etc...Pretty fancy in it's day. Said to be made by Panasonic/National in Japan.

Hey Gang!

I just acquired a Schwinn World Voyager, and thought I'd see what folks knew about this bike. As near as I can tell from poking around online, mine is original, except for the rear derailleur, which I think is a SunTour V or Vx. I haven't really had a lot of time to look at it, as it was brought to me at work in the middle of a busy day. Anyone have any good info?

Thanks!
