Subject: [CR]Colnago for sale 53.5 cm C/C

I have a Colnago for sale. It is a 53.5 cm C/C seat tube with 54 cm C/C top tube. There are many photos available for inspection here: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/maasland/Colnago+frames/

The bike came from the workshop of a former Colnago subcontractor. The same fellow also built for Masi. I bought the frame from this bike along with another frame that I recently sold on ebay together from the son of the framebuilder following his father's passing. The son said that these frames were among those his father used to set up his jigs back in the 80's when he built for Colnago. He only built stock frames for Colnago. Apparently, he had an argument with Colnago and the collaboration stopped and this frame was never delivered and simply sat there without paint.

I brought it to Ernesto in Cambiago and he had it painted for me. He used modern paint and graphics. The chrome is very nice, as is the deep red 'Saronni' paint. Because of possible litigation issues, as well as the Colnago ISO 9001 quality assurance requirements, the bike also has the modern decals for both of these elements.

The bike has been built up with a wide range of Colnago-branded parts. I would even dare say that this is perhaps the vintage Colnago bike upon which the name Colnago appears the most ever. I lost count when I passed 30 Colnago's.

The bike is equipped as follows:

Frame: crimped Columbus tubing (I believe it to be SL tubing). The crimping is intended to stiffen up the frame. Teh right chainstay is chromed as are the dropout faces. All cutouts are filled in with gold paint. Fork: Columbus curved blade fork (the frame is from the early 80's and therefore predates the straight Precisa fork) Headset: Campagnolo Super Record BB: Campagnolo Nuovo Record Cranks: Campagnolo Super Record with Colnago pantographed chainring Pedals: Campagnolo Superleggeri with alloy Colnago-branded ALE toe clips with Campagnolo toe straps. Front derailleur: Campagnolo Nuovo Record braze-on Rear derailleur: Campagnolo C-Record 1st generation with fully faired pulley cage. Brake calipers: Campagnolo 'Falsetto' record with ruby colored 'jewels' on the center bolt cap. (check out the photos!) Brake levers: Colnago-pantographed Campagnolo Record levers with NOS white lever hoods. Campagnolo grey cable housing. Stem: black Colnago-branded 3TTT stem Handlebars: Colnago-branded 3TTT handlebars Handlebar tape: red Benotto celo-tape Saddle: Colnago-branded Selle San Marco Hoskar EVO Seatpost: Colnago Ergonomica. A patented seatpost that Colnago designed to ensure increased ease and range of adjustment. Shift levers: Campagnolo with rare Colnago clover branded butterfly wing nuts. Wheels: Campagnolo Record hubs (126 spacing) built up with Colnago-branded Ambrosio Sythesis Colnago corse rims.

If you have any questions, please let me know. The price is $1500 delivered to le cirque or picked up in person. Add $45 to have the bike shipped to CONUS 48.
