Hi to all Does anyone know what general percentage of Cinelli's production sold through Cupertino and Spence? I am sure it varied by year and model but just an idea. I have his sales logs from 1954 and will do a count by model and will sumit to the list. Anyway I was thinking 10 percent? I was in and out of Spence's Randy Lane garage a fair amount during the 1960's. It was a small shop and there was little room for any new bike displays. I think most of the fine machinery that I saw in there were was on order or in for repair/adjustment/upgrade. I went there on 3 occasions looking for Cinellis for other people and only scored once. I can't remember now why that fully built SC was still there in the shop but it was perfect for my new wife. My son still has it. It has a Spence converted Campy derailleur and TA cottered alloy cranks. I think I remember seeing at least one Alex Singer there that was built on spec. (sigh!) There may have been a few frames around on occasion, but my guess would be that they were very few in number.
