I have received some e-mails that indicate confusion about the "Mexico" designation. The Mexico is not built in Mexico, and it is not a rebadged Windsor. The "Mexico" was built in Italy by Colnago, and differs from the more common Colnago "Super". The Mexico, at least from this vintage, was built using Columbus "RECORD" tubing which is lighter than the SL tubing used for the Supers. The Mexico is a very high end Colnago. Thanks for the inquiries.

Selling my Colnago Mexico, vintage 78-79. Size is 52cm center to top, 53cm top tube. Spacing is 126mm. Original metallic red paint is in excellent condition, only a few small scratches. All decals are original. The Columbus decal on the seat tube is broken up and the "Colnago Mexico" mylar protector on the right chainstay is scuffed and torn, but complete. All other decals are under lacquer and are in great condition. Yellow "Colnago Mexico" decals on both chainstays, yellow "Colnago" decals (no panels) on downtube and seat tube. Braze-ons include top tube brake cable guides, top of BB cable guides, shift lever bosses and rear derailleur cable stop. The only chrome is on the fork crown, which is panto-ed with the clover and "Colnago" under it. BB has clover cutout, but no "Colnago" lettering. Seatstay caps are plain fluted, no "Colnago" lettering. No "shaped" tubes, no stampings on the chainstays. Campagnolo parts include SR headset, `78 SR rear derailleur, SR front derailleur, BB, SR chainrings with choice of either '83 -172.5 NR/SR arms OR undated -170 NR/SR arms, NR calipers with rounded QR lever, Colnago panto-ed levers (clover "C" and diamonds), Campy "shield" hoods, SR single bolt seatpost, SL pedals. Wheels are choice of either sm. flange Record hubs with black anodized Colnago labeled Ambrosio rims (32h), OR lg. flange Record hubs with silver Super Champion record Du Monde rims (28h). Also includes Cinelli 1R stem (11cm) and new-logo Criterium bars. It will come with usable tubulars. Will require freewheel, chain, cables/housing, clips/straps, saddle and bar tape to complete. Nothing is mint or NOS, but everything is in very good - excellent condition. You are welcome to e-mail call me at (541) 515-3768 to discuss. Haven't take pictures yet, I just today decided to sell the Colnago because I found a vintage Martin guitar I'm trying to buy. (If anyone has a nice vintage small bodied Martin to trade or sell, let's talk!).
