Nice bike indeed. Seems to be of relatively recent production.

Two things a prospective buyer should know: 1. The fork could use more rake. Gilles Berthoud's bikes all have "high trail," which doesn't work all that well with carrying a heavy front load. 2. The Axial Raid tires measure about 30 mm wide. You probably could squeeze 32 mm Grand Bois tires in there, but the really wide 650B tires that are so great for touring, especially off-pavement, are unlikely to fit.

At least the tires are available (the Michelin Megamiums are made from the same mold as the Axial Raids).

The Singer camping bike that recently did not sell on e-bay for a similar starting bid seemed like a better deal, though.

Disclaimer: Vintage Bicycle Press sells both Michelin Megamium and Grand Bois tires.
