Chantal Fortier (right) looks like she's facing prison time, while Geneviève Gambillon (center) seems to be dealing with painful dental work, and Josiane Bost (left) will soon break into a French rendition of "The Sound of Music". Care to guess which of these three would go on to win the Rainbow Jersey that day?
Note how, even while sitting on a bench, Gambillon (World Champion in
1972 and 1974) has her hands on the handlebars, intensely visualizing
the race ahead.
