Subject: [CR]"nickle pinarello"

Hello, it appears over the last few years I have become a "bike collector" (or so my wife says) I have acquired a mid 80's colnago master that apparently was a club racer in Torino, Italy...it still has the requisite "madonna" medal hanging from the seat post bolt. I also own a 1981 masi prestige that is under restoration and just last week-end upon a spurt of insanity purchased a 1984 pinarello montello that is nickle plated! I am the 2nd owner, it is built with columbus tubing and is fully rigged in s.r components and campy tubular wheels. I mounted new tires and took it for a spin....a very nice ride (reminiscent of my racing days in the early 70's). All this said can anybody help me with information on this bike? Was it considered a higher quality italian frame? Nickle finish, what is that about? Limited edition? any and all info/thoughts history etc would be appreciated.

In closing I also happen to own a 2006 colnage c50....I won't mention it again.

regards
