I do not know if it has been announced in the States yet but a friend of
mine in Italy who knows the Eroica organizer quite well and with whom I
rode the event with several years back, just told me that several days
following this years event there is scheduled to be a UCI sanctioned pro
Eroica. It will be rated at 1.1 which is quite high. Pro Tour teams
and Euro Continental teams will be involved. It will, supposidly,
follow much of the Erica course (including the white roads) and he says
that some teams, Telecom being one, are considering ordering wool
jerseys etc. in which to ride the event. Man what comes around goes
around. How cool will this be if it actually happens. See some of you
