I think it would be much smarter to keep the Galmozzi and sell me the Rudge!

Chuck's post of earlier where he signed off: "i think your Galmozzi is worthless" has helped me make up my mind, I will be bringing my Galmozzi down to the Cirque Auction tomorrow. We'll see if Chuck's valuation is like the ones given by Cooksey Shugart, Tom Engle and Richard Gilbert, the authors of the complete price guide to watches or reality.

You can see photos of the bike here: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/maasland/1975-Galmozzi/

The bike is from 1975 and is apparently fully original. The bottom bracket carries a marking giving the size as being 60 cm, which would correspond to a Masi measurement (ie center to top of seat lug). Center to center it measures 58.5 cm and the top tube is 58 cm.

Linking this into the recent debate about the price list, I can honestly say that I don't care what anybody else tells me it is worth, as I know what it is worth to me, so I will place a reserve accordingly. The last two Galmozzi frames that have come up for sale on ebay have however both gone for in excess of $2000. (This does not count Jack Gabus' Gamba branded frame that was apparently built by Galmozzi).
