I thought I'd sent this about an hour ago, but I'm not seeing it, so I'll try again. I apologize if this comes up as a duplicate.

I'll pipe up.

This was my first time attending, so I obviously can't compare it to previous events, but I can say that the event exceeded my expectations. Throughout the entire weekend, I didn't hear a single negative comment. Everyone was there to appreciate the bicycles and to catch up with friends.

It was good to see several of the people I've ridden with on Dan Artley's and Ken Sanford's rides again, and to meet some of the people I've only conversed with through e-mail previously. I also had the opportunity to make some new acquaintances, put many faces to familiar names, and to feel a little bit more comfortable in the presence of some of our "illuminati" (and I intend the positive connotation here).

Dale was a marvelous host and his staff were tremendous. The facilities were comfortable. The rides were enjoyable, the presentations were all very interesting, the food was tasty (and even healthy), and the show was very impressive. The only downsides were that Dale unfortunately doesn't posses the ability to turn down the temperature outdoors, the human body requires some time to sleep, and that in my rush to not forget any bicycle gear, I neglected to bring my camera.

I know Dale has said it before, but bikes are the initial draw, but it truly becomes all about the people.

I'm already looking forward to next year. I'm eager to see all the people I just said goodbye to yesterday, and hope that some who couldn't make it this time can attend next year. I'm already thinking about next year, and have been creating a mental list of things I want to do.

Thanks Dale, and everyone else! I had a great time.
