Subject: [CR]Rite of passage or just dumb, here's my contribution

A couple of years ago I was building up a very pretty Baylis that some folks may remember. I had a new set of wheels all decked out with High flange C Record hubs and these beautiful Delta brakes (hopefully Dale allows stories about such adventures even if they involve off topic components?). They were adjusted as high as I could get them and the tires barely cleared them. I just thought of the "Fag Paper Clearance" fans in Britain and tossed the bike into the back of the station wagon and headed for the country where I loved to ride. The bike, which was fine being pushed around the shop, was a bit different when my 200# was suddenly on it...The wheels wouldn't move! Back into the car it went and a new set of wheels later it was fine. Here is a link to what a brake clearance should not look like! http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Tom-Sanders-Pictures/93-Brian-Baylis/Del ta_s_Tire_Clearance_001.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1
