I had the cracked binder ears - seatpost was a 27.0 rather than a 27.2.

I don't have a great deal of experience with cracked frames, but I've seen more frames cracked at the seatlug area than any other place, likely caused by doing exactly what many have talked about--putting a smaller than designed seatpost into the seattube. I've seen cracks on the sides of the lugs, sid es of the seattube, below the slot, and cracked binder ears. While it may not be
