Attenzione,

Temperatures and humidity index is hot and so are the New York Yankees which means its summertime in New York City. It's time for a BVVW meeting.

Youse are all invited to the next meeting of the Brooklyn Velodrome Vintage Wheelmen, the BVVW, on Wed, August 1,2007. Meeting start time is 6:30 PM. Members of the San Diego division of BVVW are most welcome as well as members of the midwestern states that cannot make it to Le Cirque or Velo Rendezvous. Even troublemakers like Matteo, Bob Freitas, and Lou Deeter can join us. We'll take anyone if you have a pulse and can fog a mirror. It helps to like vintage bikes as well.

I, Mikey Schmidt am serving as the "Il Guardiano" in place of John Pergolizzi, the omnipotent despot. That is until the Farwest Milano group sends him back.

The BVVW is a tangent of Gruppo Sportivo Pergolizzi which for family business reasons, the OD has fled the country for Italy, however we may smuggle him into the City of New York in late August so watch for announcements.

AGENDA No set agenda for this meeting but we do have Larz and L'Eroica coming up so I want to talk about some training rides. Other than that, this meeting will be an informal gathering of all N.Y. Metro area cyclists who share an interest in vintage bicycles and cycling history.

Since we're meeting at the home of Michael Lebron, we have no restrictions on food and drink unlike that boardroom we used to meet in, so I would like to ask everyone to bring a bottle of wine or other beverage of your choice. We will order out some food as well.

Meet at the home of : Michael Lebron 36 Cooper Sq. N.Y.,N.Y. 7th floor 1-212-475-2950

That's the old Village Voice Building; between 5th and 6th streets. Take the #6 train to "Astor Place" or the "R" to Broadway and 8th. Say's "Village Voice" in HUGE letters on the outside of the building.

We're going to have a great time . Come and join us.
